Welcome to Touch Signals, Using Touch to Convey Visual and Environmental Information to Individuals who are Deaf-Blind, Section A.
The following modules will provide you with an introduction to touch signals. You will learn about the history behind these systems and will be introduced to the current terminology and signs being used. You will learn from people who are proficient in using touch signals how they apply this method and why it is beneficial to them. You will also learn to use direction, level and grading signals. These signals have been reported to be the most commonly used signals and can be applied to a variety of situations.
